Seasonal Tax Preparer

The seasonal tax preparer position is perfect for someone who has experience preparing returns for individuals and trusts and wants more flexibility in their schedule and enjoys the challenges of working on a variety of tax returns in a paperless environment.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Technology oriented, must thrive in a paperless office and must be able to adapt to automation using cutting edge software. Previous experience with CCH software (Prosystems Fx) is a plus.
  • Comfortable working independently or in a small group.
  • The position can accommodate the need for flexibility to balance against other demands, i.e., family, children, school or study. This position would be best for an individual who lives within a reasonable commute of our office in San Rafael. The hours anticipated for this role are flexible within the demands of the business which are generally more intensive January through mid April and September through mid-October.

New hires will accrue 12 days of paid time off and 7 ½ days of paid holidays per year. We also have separate policies for sick leave, family leave (FMLA), and leaves of absence. We maintain a hardware lifecycle to keep up with programming demands of our software as well as a multi-monitor environment to support our paperless office model. Along with the adoption of technology within our field, we design the processes that sustain the successful use of these systems.
